Guest Speaker: Meg Hughey

Meg Hughey is the Human Trafficking Community Impact Coordinator for YWCA Kalamazoo.  Before she began this role in November 2017, Meg worked as a Law and Policy intern and then on a project studying the history of hate crimes in Michigan for the YWCA Kalamazoo. Meg attended Michigan State University from 2010-2015, and is also an alumna of the Kalamazoo Public Schools.  As a survivor of rape and domestic violence, Meg uses her personal experiences to connect with folks in the community, as well as to inform her work at the YWCA. When she
is not working, Meg enjoys reading classic literature, listening to the Beatles, and spending time with her pets.
